Sharon Martin, DCHS president since 2003, has handed over the presidency to Vice-President Chet Owen.  Sharon has been the backbone of the society for years and has left it in great shape for future volunteers.  She plans to continue to be involved in DCHS as a volunteer.  A surprise party at the Volunteer's Lunch gave many the opportunity to share their appreciation to her for many years of tireless service to our community.

Martha Spiers, the last of our founding ladies lived to be 100 years old to the day and went to be with her Lord on May 1st, 2024.  

The other founders were Bessie Whiteaker (1893-1986), Lora Lockhart (1903-2000), Ruth Lybarger (1908-1977), and Isabelle Bram (1915-2015)
